Adam is a sports chiropractor having completed two university degrees. Adam specialises in a soft tissue technique called Active Release Techniques® (aka ART), he is one of only a handful of full body certified ART providers in Australia. ART is a soft tissue treatment that is very popular in North America, particularly with professional athletes due to its immediate and lasting results. Adam is a lecturer and clinic supervisor at Endeavour College, in Sydney. Adam is also a published author, having co-authored a book on back pain published by Allen & Unwin in 2014 titled ‘Back Pain: how to build core stability for long-lasting relief.’ There are many advantages to being treated by a sports chiropractor such as Adam. He is a musculoskeletal specialist; meaning his formal study focused on musculoskeletal conditions. All treatments are non-invasive, meaning no prescription drugs, hypodermic needles or scalpels to get you better. Chiropractic has repeatedly been proven to be one of the safest non-invasive techniques available for the treatment of spinal conditions. Adam treats the cause, not the symptom; when you take a pill (analgesics, anti-inflammatories, and muscle relaxants) for pain, you are treating the symptoms of your condition. When the effects of the medication wear off your symptoms quickly return, however, by treating the cause of your condition, he seeks to permanently resolve the symptoms so they don’t return in the future. Conditions that positively respond to Adam’s treatments include: Strained muscles and sprained ligaments, Nerve entrapments (carpal tunnel, sciatica), Tendinitis/tendinosis, Frozen shoulder, Repetitive strain injuries (tennis elbow, ITB syndrome, and plantar fasciitis). Treatments provided by Adam include radial shockwave therapy, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, Active Release (ART), manipulative therapy, dry needling (similar to acupuncture), low force drop-piece adjustments and Kinesio taping.
